“Here is something no real celebrity will ever tell you: film acting is not very fun. Doing the same thing over and over again until, in the director’s eyes, you ‘get it right’ does not allow for very much creative freedom… In terms of sheer adrenaline, film has absolutely nothing on theatre.“
~ Mara Wilson
Does this sound inspirational? Believe it or not, it should! Wilson’s words should help you understand the focus, self control, and dedication required for screen acting. Acting for the screen requires a range of different disciplines compared to that of stage. While similarities include commitment and focus, differences are skills such as the ability to duplicate a performance with minimal (ideally zero) changes for continuity sake. This class will focus on commitment and discipline. There are only 10 spaces available at each intake, which are Terms 1 and 3.
